On Tuesday the 13th, at 10 am EST, Essentium will be hosting a virtual panel discussion, “The Rise of AM and Future-Proofing Global Supply Chains,” focused on supply chain vulnerabilities, causing issues like shipping delays and idle assembly lines, and why AM should be used as an agile strategy to keep things going and build up business resilience. Hosted by Essentium CEO and co-founder Blake Teipel, PhD, the panelists will be Major Alex Goldberg, the Chief Innovation Officer for the Texas Military Department; Volker Hammes, the Managing Director of New Business GmbH for BASF; and NASCAR driver Brad Keselowski, the owner and founder of Keselowski Advanced Manufacturing (KAM). They’ll discuss why manufacturers are struggling with supply chains now, and how to adopt AM to shore up the supply lines.

“In recent months long-established supply chains have faltered leading to delays in shipments, idle assembly lines and furloughed workers. With broad-scale interruptions likely to become increasingly common – how can manufacturers deploy 3D printing as a strategic addition to a supply chain strategy to help mitigate disruption?”

On Wednesday, October 14th, at 2 pm EST, RIZE is holding a rebroadcast episode from its Learning Series, called “Making an impact – Innovation in Material Science.” 3D printing has allowed manufacturers to break the boundaries that limited application purposes only to available materials, so that now it’s possible to engineer materials to a specific purpose. The webinar will discuss how to achieve the key objectives of durability, strength, and sustainability in polymers, covering topics such as polymers and functional inks made for a purpose and real-world applications for industry and education.

“This webinar helps you understand the material science behind RIZE filaments & functional inks and why it is well suited for real world applications in Education and Industry.”
