3D Printing Webinar and Virtual Event Roundup, October 11, 2020

We’ve got another busy week of webinars and virtual events coming your way! Read on to learn more about what’s available this week.

Science in the Age of Experience

Over the week two weeks, October-21, Dassault Systèmes is holding its exclusive Science in the Age of Experience event in the form of an executive virtual conference. It will be a series of five episodes, featuring short, TED-style talks, focusing on the innovations that will change how we live and work. Speakers will discuss how their organizations leverage science and technology to keep ahead of the curve, and there will also be virtual lab tours and time to network with peers during digital roundtable discussions.

“Science in the Age of Experience will bring together industry leaders, renowned prize-winning scientists, academics, heads of government and private institutions and Dassault Systèmes’ executives and experts. Together we will share, listen and set the course for a more efficient and sustainable future.”

You can register for the event here. Each day will begin at 10 am EST.

Essentium Panel Discussion

On Tuesday the 13th, at 10 am EST, Essentium will be hosting a virtual panel discussion, “The Rise of AM and Future-Proofing Global Supply Chains,” focused on supply chain vulnerabilities, causing issues like shipping delays and idle assembly lines, and why AM should be used as an agile strategy to keep things going and build up business resilience. Hosted by Essentium CEO and co-founder Blake Teipel, PhD, the panelists will be Major Alex Goldberg, the Chief Innovation Officer for the Texas Military Department; Volker Hammes, the Managing Director of New Business GmbH for BASF; and NASCAR driver Brad Keselowski, the owner and founder of Keselowski Advanced Manufacturing (KAM). They’ll discuss why manufacturers are struggling with supply chains now, and how to adopt AM to shore up the supply lines.

“In recent months long-established supply chains have faltered leading to delays in shipments, idle assembly lines and furloughed workers. With broad-scale interruptions likely to become increasingly common – how can manufacturers deploy 3D printing as a strategic addition to a supply chain strategy to help mitigate disruption?”

Prodways Webinar: Introducing New LD Dental Series

Also on the 13th, Prodways Technologies, which announced a clear aligners manufacturing system this winter, is holding a free half-hour webinar, “Introducing the New LD Dental Series with Super-Resolution,” explaining all of the various benefits and features to its 2021 ProMaker LD series update. Prodways MOVINGLight expert Vincent Icart will be leading the interactive webinar, talking, and answering questions about, the new printer series update, which will improve the quality of dental models and increase the print speed as well.

“Prodways has always been committed to continuous innovation and helping our customers improve their productivity and boost their bottom line. We are excited to announce the launch of the 2021 update to our LD series dental printers now with Super-Resolution, which gives you:

  • Unique Super-Resolution technology: improved surface finish

  • New Build Style: increase 3D printing speed (up to 30%!)

  • New User Interface (UI): refreshed User Experience”

The webinar will be held at 1 pm EST for attendees in the North American market, and at 2 pm CEST for the European market.

RIZE Webinar on Material Science Innovations

On Wednesday, October 14th, at 2 pm EST, RIZE is holding a rebroadcast episode from its Learning Series, called “Making an impact – Innovation in Material Science.” 3D printing has allowed manufacturers to break the boundaries that limited application purposes only to available materials, so that now it’s possible to engineer materials to a specific purpose. The webinar will discuss how to achieve the key objectives of durability, strength, and sustainability in polymers, covering topics such as polymers and functional inks made for a purpose and real-world applications for industry and education.

“This webinar helps you understand the material science behind RIZE filaments & functional inks and why it is well suited for real world applications in Education and Industry.”

Meet the New Desktop Anisoprinting Solution

Recently, Anisoprint, which commercialized a proprietary, science-based version of continuous fiber 3D printing called composite fiber coextrusion (CFC), launched a new turnkey solution called Desktop Anisoprinting, which is a full package for continuous fiber composite 3D printing that includes its Composer 3D printer, reinforcing fiber materials, new polymer filaments, online training courses, and new print profile setings for its Aura 3D slicing software. This Thursday, October 15th, at 11 am EST, the company is holding a webinar called “Meet Desktop Anisoprinting” in order to introduce attendees to the new solution. The webinar will cover new materials, print profiles, hardware, and the new training courses.

“Come to learn about the best continuous fiber 3D printing experience, as if you are in a team of experts.”
