Casting Flexible Parts With A 3D Printed Mold

In this video I demonstrate how to create a flexible part using a 3D printed mold. The example part is a silicone waterproof seal that covers the electrical switch on a flashlight. The printing resin is ANYCUBIC Basic White. I have not tested other resins. The ingredients for the part are 100% silicone 1 caulk and food coloring. The food coloring contains glycerine, which causes the caulk to cure. Both white and clear caulk work. The cure time is less than 1 hour. No mold release is required.

This is the most cost effective way that I could come up with to prototype flexible parts with high resolution.
