This course will review how to design and fabricate a check socket using the computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) software, Rapid Plaster®. After watching the online training video, participants must complete the required quiz and receive a passing score of 80% to receive 1 ABC continuing education credit.
After successfully completing this training, you will know:
– How 3D printing provides an alternative/complement to CFab and traditional in-house fabrication
– Tools and techniques that can substantially reduce the time between initial visit and check socket fitting
– How 3D printing extends digital automation beyond the mold
– Workflows for digitally fabricating check sockets without plaster
