3D Printer Extruder Calibration – Calibrate 3D Printer – 3D Printer Calibration

Want to know how to calibrate your extruder quickly? Watch this 3D printer calibration video!

In this video i show you how to calibrate your 3D printer extruder.
One aspect of a 3D printer calibration is to check if your extruder pushes out enough filament.

If a g-code contains a rule that tells the 3D printer to extrude 100mm of filament, the 3D printer should do that and should not extrude less or more filament. That’s were a 3D printer extruder calibration is about.

First i check out how much filament is extruded after sending the g-code (G1 E100 F150). When the 3D printer is pushing out not enough or too much filament, you have to change the e-steps.

The e-steps * 100 is the number of steps the printer made to execute G1 E100 F150 (100mm of filament). Divide that by the real distance of filament the printer pushed out. That should be your new e-steps.

So when you’re having 3D printer extrusion problems, you can try to check this first!
